Born in Poland, I was raised in the European tradition of cooking - unhurried, homemade and using local ingredients. I spent my youth in New York City as a chef and food stylist for Bobbi Brown | Esteé Lauder. I caught my first wave at Rockaway Beach and my love affair with surfing began, leading me around the world and eventually to my golden home, California.

I headed for the California sunshine after college and never looked back. I’ve always loved cooking. I used to pick out these cookbooks for kids on library day in elementary school. I remember looking at the pictures of exotic food and far off places and imagining myself there. One of my favorite things about traveling is wandering through markets and local grocery stores and checking out all of the unique offerings.
